Turnul Spart (The Broken Tower)

The Broken Tower in Székely Land i a church in Transylvania, Romania. The Broken Tower was built in the Middle Ages and is located in the village of Miercurea Ciuc. The Gothic-style church was built using natural limestone and bears the arched windows and portals typical of Gothic structures. Despite years of ruin at high attitude, you can still see the tower and some of the remaining walls of the rectangular sanctuary. he remaining ruins of the church are still in operation today as a cemetery. Not long ago, archaeological excavations uncovered that this church was in devotion to St. Thomas.
