Filled to overflowing
I'd prefer my eating to come in manageable portions, but in this case I can't control myself.
DiMassi's has several locations around Texas, including a few in Houston. The Westheimer location is in a large spot with fountains and a small flowing river -- cute, but I'm here for the food. I did not have a bad morsel of food here, but standouts included tabbouleh salad, hummus, lentil soup, the múltiple rice offerings, lamb shank, and all the baklava I could eat.
The bed is freshly baked in a brick oven right behind the buffet line. The fried chicken was exceptional, especially when dipped in the strong garlic sauce. And the falafel -- I make this dish at home frequently but need to brush up on my skills because the falafel here was outstanding.
This is a great choice and the price was less than $15 a person -- with drinks included.
