Pasé un poco por casualidad en frente ...

Pasé un poco por casualidad en frente del pub Hens and Chickens (la gallina y los pollos en español), que está en la carretera de Worplesdon, en el pueblo de Bisley. Estás a menos de media hora de tren de Londres, pero es una ubicación bastante rural, y el pub forma parte de la vida cotidiana del inglés.

Así que tienes que ir, por lo menos una vez, a probar un pub de campo. La gente se junta a partir de las cinco de la tarde, después del trabajo, para compartir su día y algunas cervezas. Sirven T.E.A. , que no es un té, sino Traditional English Ale, una cerveza tradicional inglesa, que proviene siempre de una fábrica local, y se sirve a temperatura normal. Es un sabor particular, y no es del agrado de todos, pero así se juzga la calidad de un pub, cuantas más ales y cervezas ofrece, mejor.


Hay un nuevo dueño, que renovó el lugar y mejoró un poco la comida, es un lugar no muy caro y me pareció con buen ambiente. Pero la hora para ir es entre cinco y ocho de la tarde, luego solamente se quedan los que no tienen nada mejor que hacer, y llevan tres horas tomando alcohol…
