Confitería El Alcázar

Las sultanas de coco, las bizcotelas segovianas y los deliciosos bollitos rellenos de crema, el famoso ponche, el postre típico de Segovia, un bizcocho hecho con yema de huevo, capa de crema pastelera recubierto de mazapán con azúcar glas son sóla algunas de las delicias de esta confitería.

Todo en esta pastelería está para comérselo, incluso a los dueños, una venerable pareja de ancianos que han servido pasteles y bombones a la mitad de Hollywood de la época en que se rodaron grandes superproduciones en Segovia que trajeron a estrellas como Sofia Loren, Frank Sinatra, Cary Grant, etcétera.

I walked in today. A woman was sitting down behind the counter and just yelled "closed" at me. I had not even spoken a word (in English or Spanish). The sign on the door said "abierto", so I said should I turn it to "cerrado" if you are closed. She said "no" and I thought nothing of it. As I was walking out, a Spanish couple walked in. Curious to see if the employee was going to turn her away in the same rude manner, I waited to see if they would walk out.

They walked out, but with the treats they purchased. I waited for one of customer to go in and have the same experience, and they did.

Entré para preguntar el precio del ponche segoviano -tenian solo 4 a la venta- y a 25 euros kilo el 16-02-2013- y cuando salia sin comprar se rieron: "mira como corre ja, ja, ja".

Mejor comprar en la pasteleria de al lado (menta y limon) que es mas barata -ponche a 20 euros kilo-, te tratan mejor, tienen mas variedad de productos y la calidad es la misma.
