The Bay Area

We all recently relocated to the Bay Area from Columbia, SC. It is the most beautiful place in the United States scenery wise. There is plenty of overwhelmingly beautiful nature all within a 20 mile radius. Muir woods, Stinson Beach, and Bass Lake are all worthwhile hiking trips if you have access to a car. The drive there alone is pretty epic. You cross the Golden Gate Bridge and drive along the sides of cliffs on Highway 1. The Berkely Hills are a great hike with plenty of views of the entire Bay Area. Valencia Street in the Mission in San Francisco is great for shopping, and Dolores Park is close by if you just want to chill. There are tons of dudes walking around selling special treats too if you are in to that. Oakland has plenty of clubs and hip hop events that get pretty wild. There is a restaurant in Jack London Square called "Home of Chicken and Waffles" that has the best chicken and waffles any of us has ever consumed. The SF MOMA and Yerba Buena gardens in San Francisco always have great installations, and SF MOMA has a pretty impressive permanent collection as well. If you take a trip to San Francisco, you will not have any trouble finding something fun to do, but the rest of the bay area is worth branching out to as well.
